World Bank recognises improvements make by COJ

The World Bank Doing Business team have not yet issued their benchmark study, but the team has recognised the efforts of COJ construction permitting improvements.

The Temporary One Stop Shop that was instituted at the 6th floor pre-COVID brought together Johannesburg Roads Agency, Fire and Water were plans were reviewed reducing procedures. The new Construction Permit Management System has workflows to do this digitally.

This is a small step towards success, but the new system will radically change the way Building Development Management works.
